Ok. So I am really sick and tired of all the ranger builds out there that aren't ranger builds. I'm talking of course about all the R/D builds that are basically meant to be Dervishes on crack. I want a build that is a RANGER build - one that uses bow attacks and preparations and yet doesn't follow the typical "Barrage ftw" mentality. Glass Arrows is probably my favorite elite of the Ranger profession. If anyone has suggestions on a PvE ranger build with Glass Arrows as the elite and that works well, please post. Thanks.

I like [Glass Arrows] aswell.
I put it in with [Dual Shot] and [Triple Shot] it works well and nice damage.

Personally I use this build:

(^Don't know how to change that little sign to PvE)

I usually have a pet for last two slots. If not I use [Sunspear Rebirth Signet] and [Antidote Signet]

Alright, if we're looking at PvE here's what I'd suggest:

Glass Arrows
Hunter's Shot
Distracting Shot
Savage Shot
Antidote Signet
Lightning Reflexes
Attacker's Insight (Dervish, Wind Prayers...for e-management)
Resurrection Signet

If you're using a pet, replace Res Sig and Insight with Charm and Comfort. Good Luck

I have looked at the wiki builds and I dont like any of them much. I like the Truegen's build, but I am wondering if multi-target attacks like triple shot would be better.

Erm..this is probably the fifth or sixth time that I've seen triple shot as a multi-target attack. IT'S NOT. Shoot 3 arrows at TARGET foe.

To my main point. Builds like Escape Scythe or the like are good for rangers. Why, you may ask? They take advantage of Expertise. Good builds take advantage of a profession's strong points, and try and cancel the bad points. Besides, PvE needs multi target attacking. That's why nuking is so effective, and MS/DB is so good.

However, HM is a different story. One of the most effective builds is BHA/Epidemic. Throw in standard ranger skills (Troll Unguent, Natural Stride, etc.) and you've got a great HM build. I also like the Glass Arrows/Conjure setup.

Escape scythe is about as boring as ursan. You still hit c-space and spam 1-2-3-4 on recharge to win.

I used to like glass arrows, but in PvE I prefer the energy of Prepared shot to spam some massive single target damage out.

Another builds thats nice is:

[Ignite Arrows][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][By Ural's Hammer][Incendiary Arrow's][Triple Shot][Dual Shot]

The battle standard and urals trigger on the damage from ignite which basically makes it similar to the old splinter barrage.

My most commonly used build is based on Glass Arrows. I hit single targets, and kill them so fast I switch to the next that multuple target builds are worthless to me.

[glass arrows][dual shot][triple shot][savage shot][distracting shot][conjure frost][asuran scan][sunspear rebirth signet]

With 11-10-10, I have no problems with energy management, and get plenty of damage. In fact, I use a Superior Expertise and Minor Marksmanship rune with all Radiant insignias for PvE. Conjure Lightning or Flame would work, but I just happen to have a bow with a cold damage string, so use Frost.

Attributes:
Expertise 12+1+2(or 3 if you feel froggy)
Marks 12 + 1

Use a Vamp bow for added Damage and enjoy killing things quickly.

[Ebon Battle Standard of Honor] doesn't work to well with this build because of your limited range you will move around alot.

Feel free to drop an interupt and add a conjure, just take a point or two out of Marks.

if you want a ranger to do big domage run a BA Flail turret imo

very fun pewpewing with that build
or the prepared shot/sundering turret if you like that

if you insist on using [[glass arrows] a glass, conjure, dual/triple shot build like the one already posted would be best.
